Who are you and what do you do?

My Name is Uzor christian Joseph, popularly known as KUDDYCHRIS and I’m an hip hop artist.

Why do you do what you do?

I Love music and I developed passion for music, when I was in primary school, it grew beyond me when I was in secondary school, when I met my two closest friends Joe & Kils who also love music not just music but good music (laughs).

How do you work?

I’m an Higher National Diploma (H.N.D) undergraduate studying Mass communication at Federal Polytechnic, Bida Niger state. So its not easy combining music and school, so I record while on holiday but write my songs when I have leisure time during school session.

What’s your background?

I hail from Enugu state, but i was born and breed in the northern part of Nigeria, Niger state. I started recording since 2011 with my closest friends Joe and Kils with a small circle music group called Storm G music Group which never last long, I dropped my official single tittled “Arewa” as an independent artiste, 2013 which got applause and got two Award nomination that year and the second Single got me Niger state best hip pop artist.

What’s integral to the work of an artist?

A good artist should be a role Model, and also symbol of peace to people. To me  Music is the weapon of the poor Masses.

What role does the artist have in society?

An artist has roles to play in his or her society, music is beyond relaxation and pleasure act, but message in rhythm and rhyme.

What art do you most identify with?

Just like Arsenal coach said “Football should be an Art” (Laughs) I love watching football and I’m a Chelsea Football club Fan.

What work do you most enjoying doing?

Spend time with my family, Reading Books and most especially write and record new good songs.

What’s your strongest memory of your childhood?

I always remember Singing to other artist songs then in class and my primary school mate James Kolo use the desk as drum (Laughs)

What themes do you pursue?

Leaving Entertainment better than I found it.

What’s your scariest experience?

I can’t really remember if I got a scariest experience. (Smile)

What jobs have you done other than being an artist?

Broadcaster, it was a wonderful experience and I love it, because its just like music, everyday you to millions of Lives.

What memorable responses have you had to your work?

Its so encouraging to get responses from strangers and not your friends, strangers who don’t know you and tell you they love your sound, but ma memorable response are my fans in south Africa, they love my music.

What food, drink, song inspires you?

Hahahhahaha, I love the Egusi soup with alot of meat (Smile) and fufu. For the drink its really hard to make a choice but songs that inspires me “Love Yourz” By Jcole and “Stars & Light” by Ice Prince this both songs inspires me a lot for the best.

Name something you don’t love, and why.
What is your dream project?

Its always my dream to give back to my society and also Africa as a whole, whatever I have attained in life.

Name three artists you’d like to be compared to?

(Laughs) I look up to these guys Jcole and Ice Prince as mentors, they are heavyweights to get compared with me, I just love their kind of music and life style and they motivate me to work hard and never give up.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

(Thinking) yeah, I remember when I met Ice Prince before he dropped his jos to the World #J2twAlbum he said I shouldn’t give up my dreams with what I find peace of mind doing because it will surely pay off the struggle from the start.Challenges are bond to come but only the never say never will champion.

Professionally, what’s your goal?

Yeah… Always wanted to be a Broadcaster, Music Produce​r and also an International music act.

What wouldn’t you do without?

I cant do without especially God, Music, My family and My pain killer Mimi (Smile)
