Johnny Depp sidelined Amber Heard as he chose to send out the first installment of her $7M divorce settlement which she pledged to two charities, without Heard’s consent first.
Heard is not pleased with the new way Depp has decided to handle things and she seems ready to take him back to court if she has to.
Both parties released statements stating their decisions.

On Wednesday, TMZ reported that “both the ACLU and the Children’s hospital had received checks from the 53-year-old on behalf of his ex.”
A statement by Depp’s representative read:
Following Amber Heard’s announcement that her divorce settlement was to be divided equally and gifted to Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and the American Civil Liberties Union, two exceptionally deserving and important charities, Johnny Depp has sent the first of multiple installments of those monies to each charity in the name of Amber Heard, which when completed will honor the full amount of Ms. Heard’s pledge.
Ms. Heard’s generosity in giving to these wonderful causes is deeply respected.
Amber Heard’s camp however, released a response, Thursday, August 25, after receiving information of what Depp had done. It read:
Amber Heard appreciates Johnny Depp’s novel interest in supporting two of her favorite charities, the ACLU for domestic violence and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. This is great and unexpected news.
However, if Johnny wishes to change the settlement agreement, we must insist that he honor the full amount by donating $14M to charity, which, after accounting for his tax deduction, is equal to his $7M payment obligation to Amber.
We would also insist that the full amount be paid immediately and not drawn out over many years. Anything less would be a transparent attempt by Johnny’s counsel, Laura Wasser and Patti Glaser, to reduce their client’s true payment by half under the guise of newfound concern for charities that he has never previously supported.
Depp chose to send the first installment of the $7M he ought to pay Amber which she had decided to give out to two charities of her choice.
Rather than do it the usual way by sending the money to Ms Heard to give out to charity at her own time, Johnny Depp chose to sideline the actress, so, she’s coming for more than just $7M this time.
It seems these two are getting prepped for another legal war.
As of August 2016, Depp who is an inspirational high-school drop-out, has a net worth of $400 million.
