Kachikwu Orders Employment Of PTI Graduands

EFFURUN – THE Minister of Petroleum Resources (States) Dr. Ibe Kachikwu has
ordered the award of scholarships and immediate employments to best graduating students of the Petroleum Training Institute, PTI, Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.

The minister gave the order to the Petroleum Training Development Fund, PTDF and establishments under his ministry at the 2016 Convocation ceremony of the Institute held at PTI Conference.

Kachikwu noted that the award of the scholarships to the graduating National Diploma students is to encourage them in their academics as they further their

According to the minister, “I have ordered PTDF to award scholarships to the three best graduating OND graduands and I have also asked institutions under me to employ the three best HND graduands.”

Earlier in a remark, the Principal/ Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Training Institute, Prof. Sunny. E. Eyuke urged the HND graduands to continue to play active roles and be good ambassadors of the institution.

Eyuke also challenged the best ND graduands to make quick plans
and return for theNHD programmes.

The Chairman of Council, Mr. M.D.B. Ladan appealed to the Federal government to consider increasing the budgetary allocations of the Petroleum Training Institute to enable it achieve its mandate.

Those to benefit for the scholarship awards is Alordiah Ovie Andrew, best graduating National Diploma Student of the institute.

On the whole 3,000 graduands convocated from different disciplines.
