1. Newcastle United 0 – 1 Arsenal

Despite the scoreline, Newcastle will be disappointed. The red card was a real turning point and the goal an unlucky deflection. Arsenal have created a few chances, but not as many as they should have.

2. Chelsea 1 – 2 Crystal Palace

Jose Mourinho suffered only his second defeat in his 100th home league game in charge of Chelsea as Crystal Palace claimed a shock win at Stamford Bridge.

After a goalless first half in which Chelsea dominated possession, Palace took the lead when Bakary Sako drove in after Yannick Bolasie’s low cross.

3. Liverpool 0 – 3 West Ham United

West Ham ended their 52-year wait for success at Anfield with a 3-0 Premier League victory over Liverpool that saw both sides reduced to 10 men.

Westham gave Liverpool the shock of their Life…

4. Manchester City 2– 0 Watford

Manchester City beat Watford 2-0 at the Etihad in the Premier League on Saturday to maintain 100 per cent record.

Raheem Sterling scored his first goal since joining City after turning home Bacary Sagna’s cross on 47 minutes

City doubled their lead 10 minutes later when Fernandinho smashed home after receiving David Silva’s pass.

5. Swansea City 2 – 1 Manchester United

Swansea City 2 – 1 Manchester United

Louis van Gaal’s winless run against Swansea City continued on Sunday as Manchester United fell to a third straight 2-1 loss.

An even first half saw little goalmouth action, with United starting strongest and should have gone ahead through Juan Mata after 21 minutes but the Swans dealt with everything thrown at them.

Garry Monk’s side grew in confidence as the approached half time, with Bafetimbi Gomis hitting the outside of the post and Gylfi Sigurdsson poking a shot just wide but the scores remained level at the break.

United started the second half in similar fashion to the first and Mata made amends for his early miss by breaking the deadlock from close range at the back post after a cross from the left evaded everyone.

Memphis Depay could have doubled the advantage almost immediately when his shot bounced off Ashley Williams, only for Andre Ayew to level matter on the hour mark with a smart header from 10 yards.

Ayew then competed the turnaround with a fine through ball to find Bafetimbi Gomes, who shot inside Sergio Romero’s near post to give the Swans the lead and a seal third straight win over United.
