Sergio Aguero To Leave Manchester City

Sergio Aguero has revealed that he intends to leave Manchester City for Independiente once his contract with the Premier League side expires in 2019.

The 27-year-old started his professional career with Independiente before leaving his boyhood club for Atletico Madrid in 2006.

He has not forgotten about Independiente, though, and aims to end his career at the club where it all started for him.

“I have always said that I want to return to Independiente and I will do just that,” the Argentina international told So Foot.

The Argentine star – arguably the best striker in the Premier League – has delivered the bad news to supporters of the Sky Blues in an interview with So Foot.

Aguero is currently under contract at the Etihad Stadium until 2019, but when his deal comes to an end Kun intends to go home. Moreover, he wants to return to his childhood club Independiente.

The Man City striker told the French speaking website:

I have always said that I want to return to Independiente and I will do just that. I will return to Independiente when my contract with City expires.

I do not want to make my comeback when I am too old. If everything goes well, I will return to the club of my heart at the age of 31.

Aguero completed a transfer to Manchester City after signing a five-year contract with the club back in 2011 when he moved from Atletico Madrid. He’s since signed a contract extension in 2014.

Despite enduring an injury-hit campaign, the 27-year-old is currently City’s top scorer, with nine goals this season in all competitions.
